Google release the new Froyo update for Nexus One

froyo updateGoogle is celebrating today - Android 2.2 Froyo reached two important milestones. Google opens the acquisition of the latest version and a final drive upgrade for Froyo. And we are sure that the timing has nothing to do with the iPhone 4. You could actually download the update from here (only works if you use the firmware FRF50), but unless you know what you're doing, you should wait for an update OTA.

Your Nexus One should check for updates automatically, or you can force to check, so one way or another you should receive a notification that a new version is available and download it over-Air. Some people have told us that the update is not available for them yet, so do not necessarily work today - and spread the updates is a gradual process, and varies with location.
Another important milestone in Froyo Google Android 2.2 opens the code from its partners and manufacturers and all others. This means they can start working on non-Google phones Froyo firmware.
